Acupuncture Fees

Fees for Patients without Acupuncture Insurance Coverage

We believe that health care pricing should be reasonable, transparent, and understandable. If your insurance does not cover acupuncture, we offer a significant discount for payment at the time of your visit. Typically, those rates are as follows:

Acupuncture with Time of Service Discount

First Acupuncture Office Visit – $95.00

Your new patient visit will typically take between 60-90 minutes and includes health history, intake, Q&A, treatment planning, and your first acupuncture treatment.

Returning Patient Acupuncture Office Visit – $75.00

Visits for established patients are generally 45-60 minutes and include progress updates and acupuncture treatment.

Well Care Acupuncture Office Visit – $35.00

30-minute acupuncture-only visit for stress management and overall health.
We do not address specific health concerns in a Well Care Visit.

Payment options include cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express.

Discounts

The following discounts may not be combined or applied retroactively.

Income-based Discount – Inspired by the new Affordable Care Act, we offer a certain number of discounted appointment slots for Sacramento County and Yolo County residents whose household income is less than 4x the poverty guideline (currently $45,960 for individuals). Waitlisting is available if all spaces are currently filled. If you would like to request more information about this program, please email us at acupuncture@asiantherapeutics.com.

Senior Discount – Because Medicare does not cover acupuncture, we offer a discount to patients 65+ who do not have other insurance that covers acupuncture. The cost of each acupuncture treatment is just $55, and we will waive the new patient evaluation fee.

Buy 9, Get 3 Treatments Package – If you prepay for nine acupuncture visits, you will receive three additional treatments at no charge. Your package never expires, but is not transferable. If you choose to discontinue care with us, you are entitled to 100% of your remaining balance.

HSA & FSA Plans

Our services are also considered qualified medical expenses, therefore you are always welcome to use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) for all acupuncture and prescribed herbs and supplements.

Taxes

The IRS recognizes acupuncture as a qualified medical expense, which you may find beneficial when preparing your income tax return. Speak with your tax advisor for more information.
